Hello I'm Claire, creator and designer here at Keepsy Bears. I live in a small town in Scotland with my Husband, our daughter and two dogs. Keepsy bears came about when we sadly lost my dad Kevin, to a rare brain condition called PSP. Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) is a neurological condition caused by the premature loss of nerve cells in certain parts of the brain. PSP is currently incurable.

After his tragic passing, my family and I were going through his clothes. I mentioned to my sisters that I would make bears for us all from them.

After I had done this, I realised that we now had a wonderful and unique way of remembering him. I now wanted to make bears for others, as a way to remember and hopefully bring comfort to those who have lost a loved and treasured person from their lives.

We also want to offer those that simply want to remember their little ones being, well, little. We are able to make blankets in various sizes, teddies and cushions, from the clothes that no longer fit them.

The products that we offer are incredibly diverse, in that they are not just for lost loved ones, but also for those who are simply not around at the moment.

We want to be able to offer you as much customisation as we can. We will open up a dialogue with you, so you are able to be involved in the design and finished look of your item.

We understand that this level of involvement may not be for everyone, and if you like, we can work our design magic and create your bespoke item with little to no input from yourself.
